About Us
Gusii Mwalimu Sacco is a member owned and member controlled financial institution offering a diversity of financial products and services to its members at reasonably low rates of interest. It was established in the year 1977 but started operations in 1979.
Its current membership stands at over 45,000 members drawn from the various member organizations including: TSC Secretariat; TSC teachers in Primary, Secondary schools & Tertiary institutions; Lecturers in Public and Private Universities; University Staff both public and Private Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Society Staff Employees of National & County Governments, Ministries and state Departments. All civil servants NGO employees Pensioners

Our Objectives
Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Society was started with the following main objectives:
- To encourage thrift among members by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings.
- To create a pool of funds for credit, this shall be lent out to qualified members.
- To improve the economic wellbeing of its members.
- To research into new products that will promote the economic base of its members.
Basic Operating Principles
Open and voluntary membership:
The Society’s doors are open for membership to all who wish to join it as long as they are within the accepted common bond. Members are free to withdraw their membership if they so wish provided they clear all their outstanding obligations with the Society and notify respective guarantorsDemotractic Control:
The members enjoy rights to vote and participate in making decisions affecting the Society through their elected delegates. A member has a right to one vote in the general meeting.Non-discrimination:
