The department is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the human resource policies and programmes including carrying out the planning, study, training and implementation of personnel affairs, labour safety and health affairs.

Duties and responsibilities of this department include but not limited to:

  • Manpower planning and recruitment. Ensures that recruitment procedures of the Sacco are well planned.
  • Interpretation and application/implementation of terms and conditions of service, labor laws and staff regulations.
  • Maintaining sound employee/employer relationship.
  • Administration of discipline and welfare related issues.
  • Performing the training and development process of the Sacco in liaison with the general managers and other line managers.
  • plans for:-
    • Staff training and education.
    • Staffs leave and staff work rotation.
  • Induction training of new staff members
  • Carrying out general induction of new employees.
  • Ensuring that performance management of the Sacco is taken into account.
  • Resolving conflicts within employees in the Sacco.
  • Preparing payroll for employees.
